After some searching, I found how to load new POI files to the Micro SD card of my Chinese Car Multimedia unit which uses Primo iGO MyWay v9 under Windows CE for it's Navi function.
1. Turn off any write protection on your SD card (in fact you might want to create an image copy of the card supplied with the unit to an identically sized card and work just on the copy).
2. Plug the SD-Card into your card reader in, or attached to, your PC.
3. Create a new directory - iGO/content/userdata/poi from the root directory of the SD-Card.
4. Download, unzip and copy the kml files to this directory.
5. Dismount and remove the card from the PC and return it to the Car unit.
6. Start the Navi (in my case, there's a GPS button on the unit).
7. Primo iGO MyWay loads - clear any 'maps out of date' messages.
8. Press 'Find'.
9. Press 'Find places'.
10. Press 'Custom Search'.
11. Press 'In a city' ('near here' probably also works).
12. Ignore the location displayed (if any) and press 'Select' at the bottom of the screen
13. Scroll down the displayed list - the entries with (KML) at the end are the new ones you have put on the card.
14. Click on one of these - depending how the file was made, you may have sub-levels you can go down through. (files from this site appear to be one level).
15. When you enter the bottom level a progress bar goes across the screen before dislaying all of the new entries. - at the same time the unit writes .kix and .kns versions of the new file that you just opened to the SD card in the same iGO/content/userdata/poi directory.
16. If you have added multiple new KML files, go into each of them so that the file creation can take place.
Please note - if you get kml files from another source (e.g. Google maps) make sure that the title shown in the <name> parameter within the kml file is different between the files otherwise - irrespective of what the windows filename is, only one of the files will be displayed in the list and duplicate entries can occur. (you can edit a kml file simply using Notepad if you are careful).
Ed.
Just create igo folder on SD card and on the igo folder, create a sub-folder content. On the content sub-folder, create more subfolders - map, poi, etc, and put extra content accordingly. Important: Don't put anything on the sys.txt's folders section so that igo/primo would use this default location for extra content.

How To Install Igo Navigation On Sd Card

Install Igo On Sd Card
- Just insert your sd card to your GPS, then open GPS, set Nav path to 'IGO' in your sd card.
- It is dependent on how your GPS was initially set up. iGo usually wants to load wherever the original maps were stored. If they came installed on the internal memory that is where it wants to be. If you run out of room and want to buy additional maps you usually want to recreate the file structure of the internal memory and move the old maps and related POIs and any 3d files to that, thereby opening up additional space to install the new maps on your internal memory. You cannot simply download the additional maps to a card as the toolbox software will not allow that.
